15-month-old Ruth's room has a vintage, lived-in soul. In here, pieces with a past add a loving nod to previous seasons giving the room character and depth.

"We wanted the room to be colourful yet still calm – a place where Ruth can let her imagination and fantasy run free", says Ulrikke, mom to Ruth.

Nothing here feels overly considered, and that's exactly the charm of it. It's warm and inviting, furnished with only a few, carefully chosen furniture pieces and toys, leaving room for imagination - and for growing into.

The floor is for playing, and storage placed here, including a small raffia basket from Rice, is convenient for Ruth to reach. Explore all raffia baskets here.

Also seen here: The 'Story of Peter Rabbit', and a pink cup from Rice. To the left, 'Barnets Sangperler' right underneath two Pimpel dolls sitting on a box.

On the pin board hangs postcards, pictures and a knitted flag garland found on a flea market. Find a similar one here.

On the table, 'The Story of Peter Rabbit', an old wooden box and a pink cup from the Rice x Snoopy collection.

The old chest was purchased on dba.dk and then painted in a high-gloss ice blue colour. On it sits is a xylophone and a celebration ring with accessories.

A beautiful textile piece, purchased on Mallorca years before Ruth was born, hangs above.

Fish handmade by Ulrikke, Ruth's mother, while she was pregnant with Ruth. The flag garland was purchased on a flea market. Find a similar one here.

Ruth's crib is her father's childhood crib, adding history and a sense of full circle.

The shelf is also vintage, and on it sits a small mushroom night light, a couple of books and more toys.

The 'Circus' raffia basket from Rice brings a playful storage to Ruth's room. Here, it is used to store toys and teddy bears, and is easily pulled out when Ruth wants to play.
